In 2019 Yvonne Frei drove a VW bus from Switzerland to Kyrgyzstan over two months. In the middle of it: a solo leg through Iran. What she experienced there contradicts almost everything Western media tells about the country — hospitality, courage, stillness, and women who grow stronger with every encounter.
The book doesn't just describe a journey, but what travelling does to you: it trains trust, breaks assumptions, makes life messier and at the same time clearer.
